Java Programming Classes for Teens in Schaumburg, IL

Java is the language most high-school and university computer science courses are built on. Students learn structured, object-oriented programming with a live instructor in a small class, and finish able to design, write and defend a complete application.

Who This Class Is For

• Ages 14–18, typically grades 9–12

• Students taking or preparing for AP Computer Science A

• Teens who have outgrown beginner languages and want rigour

• Students planning to study computer science or engineering

• Writing clean, structured code that scales beyond one file

• Algorithms, and how to reason about whether one is efficient

What They’ll Build

• A console application with real logic and user input

• A data-driven program that stores, sorts and searches records

• A small simulation or game built from several cooperating classes

• A final project presented and defended to the instructor

How the Class Runs

24 lessons across roughly 24 instructional hours — about 3 hours a week over two months. Each session mixes a short concept explanation, a guided hands-on lab and project work, with weekly quizzes and homework shared through Google Classroom. Call (847) 350-9034 for current tuition.

Why Our Classes Stay Small

Classes are typically 8 to 12 students. That is small enough for your child to ask a question the moment they are stuck, and for the instructor to notice when they are quietly lost. It is the single biggest difference between a class that works and a video course that does not.

Java follows naturally from Python. Students who finish it are prepared for AP Computer Science A, college coursework and the kind of interview questions technical programs ask.
